Test 530: Will The First Three Cora Default Commercial Words Added To The H1 Boost Rank?

James was interested in the word types that Cora suggests as a possible factor. This is one of 3 tests that he did of this type. Could it be possible that these words alone in the H1 tag would move the needle?

Test 530 is another one from James, Is testing the Cora default commercial AdWords? words in your h1 to see fail boost ranking and a good follow on James is here so I kind of dropped these ideas at the same time is the test at the commercial in the title tag would improve ranking but this is this is a great one. So if you guys are using Cora, you have the Cora SEO course you have access to Cora reports.

If you reach out to me no problem running Cora reports for you guys yesterday, members went up. But you have the training too and you've seen this section in there, where it's commercial intent keywords, and here's the top 4 that Ted has pulled.

What happened was taget shared data from users. And then he can compile these data lists and look and say, Oh, these are the ones that should be in the software, by default for commercial intent. And these like a 40 year, ecommerce guru, been working with 1 of those 800 pound gorilla sites for so long, he kind of pretty up on commercial attempts. So James, plug those in his test page and his h1, you can see it right there.

There's the example and you just let it sit and see what's gonna do. And as you scroll through the results is pretty interesting, jumps up, and then number 4 for a while. Number 2, and drop from the index, number 4 again, and then ultimately, number 2 again, here's what I think happened in that mess, that bounce, right? Google said, Oh, this is great. Move it up a little bit.

Okay, we analyze a little bit more. Yep, should be number 2. No, this is an SEO guy or not. Let's scare him and take it all out and see if he refix this page is gone. Oh, he didn't fix the page came back. And it's number 2 again. So this is my guess is James came back and look at this in the edit September properly, still be around the same place or even number 1.

So, it's indicating to me that Google the algorithm is learning that maybe this keyword did it, the fake keyword is related to some type of e commerce thing. And because it's a commercial intent keyword now, essentially, what James did, he's teaching the algorithm as commercial intent, that one is probably going to raise up higher than the rest of them.

I make that guess, based off of the fact that none of the other pages have commercial intent. Joseph did it, or James did it by adding those new words. There we go. There's like, I've never seen this word before. There's not a whole lot of searches for it. But there's one site is doing commercial attempt stuff. So maybe it's commercial intent, so we'll put that one higher.

So, that's pretty interesting. So the lesson here is and especially if you want to implement this for yourself, as if you are selling something, you need these commercial intent, keywords in your headings and your title tags and your content. Because at the end of the day, everyone else is going to be doing it to you. So you need to have it in there to qualify your page search results.

I think as a practical implementation of this test, it's more to if to look to make sure that you are doing it versus looking to add them as a ranking boost. Especially when you're dealing with an e commerce.
