You have heard of keyword density... Well, how about image and video density? We did a test on image density in July and jwe found the image density to be .006 to .008 percent. That looks like 6 to 8 images per 1000 words of content.
Our next goal was to see if video embeds were similar in terms of the optimal number of videos, on a page.

This is how many videos are on a page is optimal? In other words, we're looking at video density. We just looked at our image test an update of that and what the image density looks like six to eight and that’s per thousand keywords. So, that's a .006 to .008.
Now, we're going to see are embedded videos similar? We set up the test exactly the same except there are 930 words on it which made it a little bit more difficult to calculate. I did want to point out that the videos were slipped in the top with just a paragraph in between them.
So, if there was 10 they went ten, one, two, three on the top above the fold if you will until they weren't in any case. So, I do say in the next test I’d like to put them in more spread-out. We'll have look at both of them. The results are pretty similar to our image test and so the density here would be into the maybe 4 to 6 range or 4 to 7 range. I’m sorry what did I put down here for 7.
We did have a mistake when I was going and checking these tests to make sure that they had the appropriate numbers of videos. I found that the number 2 actually did not have a video and I guess that's the universe talking to me because the images didn't have a 0. So, this is a 0 and looking it's almost down to the bottom, just right above 10. That was obviously too much.
Now, the five dropped out for a long time came back. It's hard to say about the five. That's why I’d like to redo this because I would love to see that one be out of there and the 5 be up here above the fold with these guys here which make it real similar to the image test.
