As stated in the H4 vs H5 test, we really haven’t looked at anything beyond the H4. Going into this test with H5s vs H6s, our guess is that an H5 is stronger, but we really have no idea. We don’t use H5s or H6s in our copy, but we’d be very happy to find out if the h tag strength order continues.

Then, we go to, is an H5 stronger than an H6? Does this semantic order continue where we are looking at it, is this an order? So my guess is that the H5 is stronger than the H6 but I really do not know. If I had to guess, I would say sure. This is the same deal, now we are putting the H5. It is stronger, we are anticipating that it will rise. Initially, it did. After the page was reindexed, there was actually an upward movement but then it fell back below its original position which is actually significant. What that is telling me is that, there is no difference between the H5 and the H6. If it is just going back to its original spot, we can say that maybe there is something there but it is not just that strong but for it to move up and then to move down, that is telling me that there is no difference in the H5 and the H6, in terms of its strength. Then, we ran it in the inverse and this particular one, there is no movement at all. There is no reshuffle after submitting and it simply stayed in this same spot.
What we can see is that the H5 is not stronger than the H6. So the semantic order kind of ends in the H4 in terms of what is stronger. The H5 and the H6 might be the same strength level and there might be some strength there so we are going to test that just to confirm that pages will index with these things and they might actually get a little bit of a ranking boost but in terms of are they stronger, the strength kind of ladder ends at the H4 and at this point, the H5 and H6 appears to be at the same strength. We will see if you can still get a boost by using them, which is a very important question because obviously some people use them. Some sites do go down into those levels. Can you get something out of it? But in terms of the ranking order, the strength order, it stops at the H4.
