This test was the brainchild of Derek Booth who gave his amazing share in a Tuesday Chat about his concept called “fishing for keywords”. He is a regular tester and does some amazing work. He was interested in finding out if you could put keywords in bulleted lists and if that could help anything.
During the test, he took content and bulleted it on the test page. It was existing content, everything was indexed, and he turned it into bulleted content which contained the targeted keyword. After the changes were made just one page with the bullets existed and we were kind of excited about that and then it dropped to the bottom and went back to where it started from.
We can say that bullets are not a ranking factor.
