Test 671: Do Money Robot YouTube Embeds Increase Rankings?

Back in the early days of the YouTube ranking craze, there were multiple methods that SEOs could employ to rank their videos quickly.  As time has gone on, several of these methods have been exploited to the point that Google was forced to kill their benefits. Today, there are some methods that seem to still be working, if only a little bit, which is good for SEOs and business owners looking to leverage their YouTube channels to increase brand awareness. Embeds is one of the methods that seem to have some influence.

In this particular test, Clint tests if the use of YouTube embeds using Money Robot can have a positive impact on rankings.

Hey everyone Clint here, this is Test #671 - Do Money Robot YouTube Embeds Increase Rankings? I don't know how long you've been in the SEO space but things come and go right and fads and trends and focuses etc. And before, there was the YouTube trend. And I say YouTube trend is because there was the YouTube lives, people figured out the YouTube lives are ranking very very well for everything and then all those softwares all came out etc and then people were uploading 300-400 videos to channels and essentially burned out the updated value of YouTube live.

And so we all had to figure out different ways to rank videos before that and now after that and one of those is YouTube embeds. So in this case we're going to use a money robot old school software. It's been around for quite some time. The engagement in the Money Robot Community is actually pretty slow. The owner's name is Nick and essentially, it's a link building software and the primary websites in the Web 2.0 section which is essentially what the embeds where those come from are the PBN that the Nick counts and it's smart to sort of for him to do that because now he doesn't have to chase around login info and recaptures and all that stuff like other softwares have to do. The downside of that is if he doesn't rotate those and or create new websites etc then that list of sites could potentially be found out if Google cared enough and they could find out and then just essentially devalue the entire network or  worst penalize anyone that links from those sites.

As far as I know they haven't done that yet but because that's a very real possibility depending on the usage of a tool. In this situation, as long as this thing has been out and there's many people that were using it at the time, I just chose not to use this for my websites but YouTube videos are fair game. And so I usually use this or I was using this when I was heavily promoting SEO this week via SEO obviously and ranking the videos for the keywords etc. No, I didn't really get many increased views or anything when I did that so it just kind of stopped as a process and just let everything happen naturally to date. But I wanted to see hey is this still thing still working because there's been a lot of changes since I stopped that. It's been a good, man two years since I was doing that. I fired up knocked the dust off a little copy fired it up and did this test which I found this pretty interesting.

Now inside of money robot, there's a lot of diagrams. This is the particular diagram that I used. It says it's for YouTube videos with high competition and you see how this is all stacked up, there's some Web 2s and some Web2 profiles and they're all kind of interlinked and run and then linking essentially at some point in the stacker linking to the money site, in this case, our YouTube videos, the money site. But I don't have any links set. I do have embeds though. So every one of these articles is set here with the B that you can see, those are all websites with the video embedded on it and that resulted in roughly 12 000 links that contain the YouTube embed in the video and the campaign itself took 4 days to complete which is probably was pretty average for money robot it's not a Speedster by any means of the imagination. But it does create a lot of links really really fast or well relatively fast.

And then I use the money robots built-in indexer. I don't recommend you plug in these links into something like Omega unless you're just like burning money. Because these aren't the best links. It's like GSA for example, you wouldn't send those to Omega or any of the premium indexing services, it just costs too much money to do that. But you can send these links to say Colinkri for example okay. So the video I tried to rank is this one right here, the “Clint Butler $ Starting Your Own Agency” is the most recent interview I did with Dre over at the SEO video show. And it was showing up for my name in some searches and so that's the one I targeted, that's the one I embedded. What happened was, it actually came out of the normal search results and it went into this video Carousel and that video Carousel shot up pretty high. You can see here in the rank trackers that I get the decent jump and then it kind of just settled out to where it's at here across the board and it's kind of stuck there for the same thing.

And what that is representing is this Carousel was like in the number 3 position essentially and now it's kind of like down in the 8ths and 9ths position but it's still in that Carousel. So, this video was ranking all by itself and the embeds actually sent all of these videos up into there. Which is to me it was really interesting. It’s like does Google think that the engagement of this carousel is better than just having a single link or are they okay, there's YouTube videos ranking is going to do really well it's really popular let's show the Carousel and we'll get a couple more in there that way we can air quote spread the love among the channels that are targeting the specific keyword which is totally possible.

So you see, ranking was up there is pretty good, going to drop for a bit, and then it settled down and it's a little bit going down again which is kind of indicative of maybe CTR. There's not a lot of people searching my name for example so this Carousel is probably getting low CTR and then the people that are searching for Clint Butler could be searching for the actor and clicking on the IMDb profile that's on there. Or they might be just searching for me or the website or whatever versus wanting to watch a video or maybe they're looking for my show on Digitaleer not Drei’s, who knows. But you can see that that went down but this wasn't a CTR test, this was a YouTube embeds test.

I think that in regards to this, kind of from way down in the rankings and shooting up into the first page with just money robot. Cheap software that builds cheap links. That's a pretty good result. If you're looking to augment your link building for your YouTube stuff and just kind of push those up a little bit and get CTR to take care of the rest of the heavy lifting, money robot will do it for you. And if you're looking to rank for really stupid easy keywords, money robot will do that for you as well. Let’s say it's probably still worth. One thing I would add is probably submitting all these links to Colinkri, way cheaper and all it is is a crawler, so you're just making sure that Google sees those embeds which is totally fine. You don't necessarily want Google indexing all those pages anyway with the cheap content that money robot puts on those pages. At the end of the day, it's junk. But at least you're not wasting money on Omega but Google knows that they're all there, so you get the maximum benefit of doing the run and you can rinse and repeat this process until the dogs come home, really, or cows. Is it cows? until the cows come home. I hope you enjoyed Test #671.
