Test 579: Do Nofollow Links Pass Juice?

James have often wondered if nofollow pages pass juice.

He decided to test this out once and for all.

This is the page where the nofollow buffer link was passed, not knowing the next nofollow and 20 PBN links were sent to a nofollow buffer page, and then that was sent to the test page and as you can see, the search engines follow the links to this page.

She used Dori's network because Dori's network is awesome and as the starting points, as you see moved up, or move it to 2, download 3, and then that's kind of where it's at.

Where did it start? What 5, 6, and ultimately 3, three-position jump from 20 backlinks through a nofollow link.

Again, the images say no index, nofollow and what can we ascertain from that?

What I think we can go ahead and clearly say is that nofollow is passing juice iff the links were sent, we could have somehow had a separate test running where the link was dofollow and the links were sent to the PBN to the dofollow buffer page and compared to those that have been cool.

At the end of the day, we know that nofollow is passingly juice, you can rank with a nofollow buffer, obviously, where the dofollow person in my guess if there's a dofollow, it would be the number 1 position on 20 links, you're probably going to need 30 to 40 links to get up there if you're doing it through a nofollow versus someone who's doing it through dofollow.

Google said they use hints and we've proven it, they're being used as a ranking marker where you have to make more nofollow links than the do-follow links?

Certainly will, but they still pass juice at the end of the day. So use them, know them and love them.

James is going to redo this again, with no index, and I believe it's no index follow has got one and then no index no follow the see if he can totally shut down the movement of this, which would be really good because that'll kind of lead us back into the test that SIA did.

I want to say a little over a year ago when PBNs that got no index we were still ranking pages.

We'll see if that still exists because there's been quite a few updates and processes since that testing has been done.
