This one is Hunter's test: adding in a pop-up how many keywords can you do it? This is a play off of test 473 where the pop up actually the text inside of there resulted in the rankings boost. So, putting keywords inside of your pop-up results in a ranking boost.
What we want to know is how many keyword's too many. I think he did 1 through 10 and this is where it shaked out and 4 seems to be the sweet spot. We test that out with multiple sites to make sure 4 is the sweet spot. So, four and then you see these ones down here: 1s, 2s, 3s, 4s, 5s and 6s and these all bounced around so I would just go with the 4 as the sweet spot. If you wanted to you test that out on your own by putting popups with the keywords in there.
Pop-ups, as users, we all talk crap about them but pop-ups convert like crazy. There's a reason why you go to sites like Brian Dean or Neil Patel, if you're in the SEO space, they all have pop-ups because they work and ~ conversions. Pretty much every website has some sort of pop up. We all had talked crap about them but they all have value. They all turn into conversions and now they can all help you rank sites so implement this.
